born in 1993 in Buenos Aires_
contemporary dancer and choreographer. She began her dance and choreographic composition studies at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires. She trained in classical, modern, and contemporary dance, as well as physical theater, acrobatics, and jazz. Her career started as a dancer with various choreographers in Argentina and co-directed her first piece, Casa Kynodontas, in Buenos Aires.
In 2019, she was invited to work with the Sexe et Consentement association in Paris, an organization that promotes consent through awareness and education via art and dialogue primarily aimed at high school and university audiences. During this project, she co-directed two performances, Con-sentiment{s} and Les Chanceu.se.x, and also developed a gestuality workshop for young people and adults interested in the association’s mission.
En 2020, elle suit le Certificat Master en danse et pratiques chorégraphiques proposé par Charleroi Danse en collaboration avec l'École nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre et l'INSAS à Bruxelles, en Belgique.
Brenda works in France, Belgium, and Spain. As a dancer, she has participated in works such as Happening La Tempête by Boris Charmatz and Slow Show by Dimitri Chamblas. She collaborates with several companies, including La Drache and EnDouce
Her passion lies in multidisciplinary projects that explore the potential intersections between contemporary dance and other art forms. She is intrigued by how diverse practices can engage in a dialogue with dance within a contemporary research framework. Her artistic inquiry focuses on the body’s ability to resist contextual oppressions, especially the female body. She gravitates towards a decolonial feminist perspective that celebrates an agile and powerful body. Her creative vision centers on performative formats that prioritize fictional narratives and the reaffirmation of feminine identity.
Brenda's first solo creation, BLOSSOM IN A GLOW, with the participation of musician Enrico Pigozz. This piece combines contemporary dance with the Japanese art of tying (Shibari), offering an immersive performance that blends a musical concert with a physical narrative that questions power, time, contemplation, and beauty. To deepen her exploration, she offers an improvisation workshop at Garage 29 (Belgium) titled Dance and Ropes, where she engages dancers in testing her artistic research.
She is currently developing her second performative creation, NOT ALL CHARMS FLY, in which delves into cabaret, the dynamics of the gaze, and the empowerment of the observed body.
